Women’s Giving Circle Grants

The Women’s Giving Circle invites eligible nonprofit organizations to submit Letters of Interest to indicate your desire to apply for a 2024 Impact Grant of $100,000. To be considered, you must submit an LOI no later than Friday, March 15, 2024 at noon EST.

Agencies will be informed of their eligibility to submit a full proposal on or about March 25. Selected agencies will then be asked to complete and submit the Request for Proposal form that will be due no later than Friday, April 19 at noon EST.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for 2024 Impact Grant funding, a nonprofit must:
Be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Be based in or serving Alachua County and have been operating for at least 1 year by the LOI deadline of March 15
Serve the needs of women and girls
Have a verified profile in The Philanthropy Hub
Have an annual operating budget of $100,000 or more and have filed the IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for 2024 Impact Grant funding, the proposed funded project must:
Serve women and/or girls in Alachua County
Be able to be completed and all grant funding utilized within 24 months of receiving funds
The following are not eligible for funding:

  • Organizational endowments
  • Deficit reductions
  • Annual drives and annual giving campaigns
  • Political activities and political action committees
  • Projects requiring adherence to or acceptance of a particular religious belief, or projects requiring participation in a religious services or activity
  • Capital improvements – *This funding will be considered only under special circumstances in which capital improvements would directly impact the proposed project. Such circumstances must be clearly explained in the LOI and application.

FOCUS

Our primary focus is for programs that address at least one of the following areas:

Economic Empowerment 

Programs that advance personal and economic empowerment of women in the North Central Florida community (primarily in Alachua County) and/or prepare their children to attain personal and/or economic autonomy upon reaching adulthood

Victim Advocacy
Programs that prevent delinquency, truancy, and/or criminal behavior and/or programs that support victims of abuse/violence

Education
Programs that deliver gender-specific, quality after-school/summer academic improvement or enrichment, or continuing education for women
