Grant Publicity Guidelines for Local Nonprofits

As part of our commitment to transparency and community engagement, we encourage grantees to publicly acknowledge the support they receive. These guidelines provide instructions on how to appropriately publicize your grant, ensuring that the impact of our partnership is effectively communicated to the broader community.
Acknowledgement of the Foundation
- Foundation Name Usage:
- When referring to the foundation, always use its full name: “Community Foundation of North Central Florida”
- Do not abbreviate the foundation’s name unless explicitly approved.
- Grant Announcement:
- Include an acknowledgement of the grant in your press releases, newsletters, social media, and other communications.
- Use the following language (or similar) when acknowledging the grant:
- “This project was funded [in part] by a grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Florida.”

- If you are contacted by media regarding the grant, please notify the foundation. Mention the foundation’s support during the interview and use the approved language provided above.

- When posting on social media about the grant, tag the foundation using its official handles:
